Infant, Toddler, Preschool and Pre-K Curriculum
The Seedlings curriculum is designed to inspire growth of the whole child. Seedlings Academy intentionally chooses to implement a Play-Based Curriculum for its core philosophy that children learn best when their interests are ignited. This philosophy is undergirded by a thorough understanding of the PA Early Learning Standards and the best practices of respected educators. Through observation, teachers identify interest areas of the children and guide them through expanded learning experiences to help them reach their full potential. Seedlings play-based approach ensures that academic milestones are met as well as offers a focused way of helping children grow social/emotional resiliency that will lay a strong foundation for kindergarten and beyond.
At Seedlings, we believe that education is a life-long process. During these early learning years, we focus on a continuum that encourages growth from infancy to kindergarten. The PA Early Learning Standards outline the following learning domains: Language and Literacy, Creative Thinking and Expression, Health/Wellness/Physical Development, Social and Emotional Development, Social Studies,Thinking and S.T.E.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). In each of our classrooms, the Seedlings teaching team artfully combine these learning domains with classroom observations to design engaging lesson plans that guide children on the learning continuum to reach their full potential. With each year of growth, children will be given more and more opportunities to direct their own learning experiences.
